Latest AMP update causing many Invalid CSS Stylesheet

Can you help us newbies, where does one:

1. Reset permalinks
2. Save to the old settings
3. Flush rewrite rules

I did what you just suggested. But it seems that the problem still persists. Can you double check on your end if it the errors are still there?

Getting tons of error still… Invalid CSS Stylesheet errors, Prohibited or invalid use of HTML Tag, Prohibited HTML Tag with AMP equivalent, User-authored JavaScript found on page, and even errors with Jetpack all of a sudden.

I only encountered these errors after updating to the latest version of AMP.

I have an update on these errors. I actually manage 2 sites with uniquely different themes. Both sites are showing similar errors. Which means it isn’t an isolated case. I also noticed that majority of these new AMP errors are coming from elements on our sites’ sidebars. For example, images and widgets on our sidebars which have already been there long before. I never had these errors before during previous versions of AMP. But after updating to the latest version, both sites have suddenly manifesting the same errors.

Now for the why: The internet is a wonderful place full of very nice people and a few very bad ones. I’m sure everyone here is very nice however, by giving some ones keys to your house you are trusting they wont steal anything. Likewise the person who takes the keys is now responsible for the house FOREVER.

If something was to go wrong, then you the author may well legally become liable for damages, which they would not normally have been as their software is provided without warranty.

Please be aware that repeatedly asking for credentials will result in us asking you to repeatedly stop before escalating up to the plugins team.

Prohibited or invalid use of HTML Tag
Invalid URL protocol ‘http:’ for attribute ‘action’ in tag ‘FORM [method=GET]’.

Invalid CSS stylesheet
The attribute ‘href’ in tag ‘link rel=stylesheet for fonts’ is set to the invalid value ‘//cdnjs.cloudflare.com/ajax/libs/font-awesome/4.7.0/css/font-awesome.min.css?ver=4.3.3’.

AMP markup missing or incorrect
The mandatory attribute ‘?’ is missing in tag ‘html ? for top-level html’.

User-authored JavaScript found on page
The tag ‘script’ is disallowed except in specific forms.

We are using your plugin for one of our installs as well but i’m getting the same issues as kishore9302.

I’m most interested in fixing the invalid css errors… I can’t work out why the hrefs are not valid values.

Hey @profoundwork,

Are you adding any extra css files?
If yes, then it won’t work with AMP. Please remove it and it will resolve your issue.
