  • Using the information you provided about this issue on a related Yoast GitHub issue, I was unable to reproduce the error in a default test environment.

So let’s check a few things:

    1. What language is selected under Admin > Settings > General > Site Language?
    2. What language is selected under Admin > Users > Your Profile > Language?
    3. Have you?downloaded a fresh translation file? If not, please download the current copy.
    4. Which browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc) and version are you using?
    5. What OS (Windows, Mac, Linux) and version are you using?
    6. Does the issue happen only with certain post types?
    7. Have you cleared your site and browser cache?
    8. Does the issue happen with new or existing content?
    9. Does the issue happen with only Yoast SEO and Gutenberg active on a default (Twenty Seventeen) theme.
    10. Does the issue happen when copy/pasting?this Wiki article?using?WordPress?as the focus keyword?
    11. Does disabling all features under SEO > General > Features suppress the error? If so, one feature at a time to see which one causes the error.
    12. Does the Health Check plugin show any items in your setup that require attention?
