I just updated to the latest version of Newsup this morning and immediately all the body hyperlinks and titles were underlined in Forefox – Chrome and Edge are fine – and I’ve disabled it temporarily with a “text-decoration:none” in CSS, but it’s something you should look at.

    Thanks.

    Hi,

Thank you for contacting us. I am happy to help find a resolution and offer support.

Are you receiving specific error messages? ??

No errors obviously, and the problem is that the latest Newsup update that I installed today is creating an “underline” on all active Links and Titles.

I noticed it right away as I use Firefox to post new articles and the sites was a mass of underlined links and titles immediately after performing the Newsup update.

I have tested it on all the browsers I use and the issue is occurring with both Firefox and Safari (Chrome and Edge work fine) and this behavior was not present in any previous release of Newsup. I have also deleted all CSS and it still produces underlined links/titles on both Firefox and Safari.

I have temporarily disabled this bug using CSS on my site (and I can’t go back as it looks horrible), so by accessing it you would not see anything as I have “fixed” it until you find out what’s wrong it on your end.

    Thanks.

To help speed this up. I have temporarily disabled the CSS and using Firefox you should be able to see the underlined Title and Links”

Also, is there any way I can revert to the previous version of Newsup as I would really prefer to run the site without all this bug-correcting CSS?

Since i have not received any reply, I am adding back in the CSS to temporarily fix this bug.

Sure, but hopefully you are going to fix it right?

I did absolutely nothing to the site other than update to your latest version and suddenly everything is underlined in FF and Safari…

Me using CSS is not a real fix, it’s a temporary kludge. Plus, it does nothing to fix the underlined Titles, which is difficult to achieve without substitution and I don’t want to get into that.

Also, as per my unanswered question, is there any way to easily revert to the previous working version of Newsup?

I just updated and it looks like it’s only half fixed and while the Title underline is now gone, but the Link/URL underlining is still there on Firefox and Safari.

I have removed my temp CSS fix so if you click the above link you can see exactly what I’m referring to.

    Hi

Can you please indicate the screenhsot image which issue are you face we will check then assist you better.

I’m not sure if I’m using the wrong terminology here, but it’s the HYPERLINKS/Internet Links/Live URLS/etc. that are being UNDERLINED.

Every one of them in Firefox and Safari and as I’ve deleted my CSS kludge fix, all you need to do is click on the link I provided above to see exactly what I’m referring to:

    https://www.domainrecap.com/2023/expired/top-expired-domain-auction-recap-july-20-2023/

Load Firefox or Safari then scroll down and you’ll see tons and tons of underlined URLs/Links/Hyperlinks that should not be underlined.

The Titles also used to be underlined, and you fixed that, but the URLs/Hyperlinks/Links are a much bigger problem.

OMG, I just noticed that the Mass Underlining issue has gotten larger and it’s now affecting all browsers, Chrome and Edge included.

So it looks like the “fix” for the Underlined Titles has made things even worse for URLs/Hyperlinks.

Please let me know a) if you fix this bug or b) if there is a way to downgrade to a prior version of the template. Thanks.
