Last X Entries !?

Try Options > Reading ?

yes ! i know that ! diferent with it ?!
just like <mt last entries = 5> !
i want in another place to use ! without using CONFIGs in reading!
any way ?

Use $posts_per_page = #; before the blog header inclusion in the index file
Example:

$posts_per_page = 10;
/* Don't remove this line. */
require('./wp-blog-header.php');
?>
