@mrtechnique – Yes, please – this will help diagnose what is causing the error you’re seeing. BTW – what is it exactly that is not working on your site with the current version active? Could you provide the error code &/or screenshot of what’s wrong?

please confirm, with v2.0.31 installed and active, that the error persists after:

    – disable all browser extensions
    – Reinstalling flash on your computer > restart computer and reload browser & your site
    – Temporarily switching to WordPress default theme > clear browser cache & reload your site
    – Deactivate all plugins (including NextGEN Gallery) > clear browser cache > re-activate NextGEN Gallery only & reload your site

Do any of those action steps help?

The only problem I had with the current version was that the lightbox effect wasn’t working. It would just load the image on a separate page. Can you advise on this?

@mrtechnique – Sure, a few things to check:

    – permalinks set to ‘post name’ under Settings >> Permalinks in your WordPress dashboard
    – Under Settings >> General, both WordPress address & Site address are exactly the same

If the above does not work, it may be a theme or plugin conflict, in which case following the above instructions to deactivate all plugins > reactivate NextGEN Gallery only to test, if that doesn’t work, temporarily switch to WordPress Twenty Twelve theme > clear browser cache and test your lightbox settings.

Let me know how this helps.

I just changed the permalink structure to post name, and deactivated all of the plugins, but the lightbox isn’t working. I had the WP address and Site address different for security reasons. I had to rollback to 2.0.11 for the lightbox to work again. I don’t want to go back to the Twenty Twelve Theme as it is my client’s website.

@mrtechnique – Understood. I do wonder though if adjusting the WordPress address and Site address to be the same would resolve the lightbox issue you’re seeing for your site. I’ve seen that resolve several other sites with the same issue. There are other ways to secure the site, if you’d like I could point you to some security docs and plugin suggestions.

He shouldn’t need to change his wp address, thats a standard feature in general settings that works with every plugin regardless of the installation folder.
I too have all my installs in a different folder, I’m trying to update a test site now from 1.9.13 but having difficulties, finally got it installed after three attempts but now can’t activate it due to memory fatal errors, most likely a hosting error.
I’ll report back after host support has fixed the issue as I too use lightbox.

Hello, since the upgrade to the latest version I have a similar problem. I tried all the above options, disable all plugins, change themes, go back nextgen version 1.9.13, which worked temporarily but then the disable. And by using the latest version of Nextgen, I have the following problem to view galleries:

Warning: in_array() expects parameter 2 to be array, null given in /home/xxxxxxx/public_html/xxxxxxxxxx.com/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/nextgen_gallery_display/class.displayed_gallery.php on line 612

    no images were found

What should I do? Thank you!

    Becky,

I could make the URL’s the same, but that would be a pain. I would have to make the URL changes all throughout the database.

@mrtechnique , @mcfester – Would you both mind submitting a bug report here: https://www.nextgen-gallery.com/report-bug/ with as much information as you can about this, include a URL link to this thread, login credentials to your site, and we’ll take a closer look at your site and see if there is anything we can do to help the lightbox work with two different URLs in Settings >> General.

@jlbravin – would you mind creating a new Forum thread on this error? Please also include the information on whether this is a local install or an install on the server. Do you have debug on or off?

    Thanks! (Becky)

thanks @photocrati (Becky)…. just send the error report according to your suggestion.

    Regards, J.

@photocrati (Becky) thanks for sorting my problem

I just submitted this same error for the bug report.

I went back to 2.0.11 and it’s still not working for me, either!
