    Version : 7.2.1

I’m offering a front-end image upload function on my website, and it wasn’t working anymore until I deactivated EWW Image Optimizer.

Looking into the details with Xdebug, I was able to locate the issue in media_handle_upload function which is crashing, and more particularly _wp_make_subsizes function. Apparently, the method “->make_subsizes” isn’t available when EWWIO editor is chosen by WP and this returns a WP_error.

Unfortunately I cannot continue using EWWIO in those conditions.

Thanks for checking on your side, I’d be glad to provide more info if needed.

    Regards,

    Pascal.

  • I also had to turn off EWWW. My system gets a 500 Internal Error and the site is down. Turning off all plugins, then turning back on one by one showed EWWW is the problem. It has not been tested with the latest version of WordPress. ??

    Hi Ibramirez,

The initial issue with pscolv was being discussed directly via email and turns out to be an issue with the latest version of Perfect Images. If you are using Perfect Images and having an issue, I would recommend trying the latest version here: https://docs.ewww.io/article/73-update-from-github

If you aren’t using Perfect Images and still having an issue, I would recommend contacting us directly with your System info: https://ewww.io/contact-us/
