  • Hi,
I have same problem after last update of WP-Admin-Interface, I have no access to dashboard with admin privileges, only recognize me as user not as a admin. My WordPress is up to date.

    Hi @mario-barretta,

I am keen to assist you with this. Can you talk me through this in more detail, you are saying when someone logs in, what happens? What are you clicking on and what are you seeing?

The issue might have to do with temporary caching…can you maybe try out this version of the plugin here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/6pyko8hrmrmqtz5/wp-custom-admin-interface.zip?dl=0 and let me know if this helps you. Thanks,

Dashboard/Updates update to latest WP Custom Admin Interface. Go back to Dashboard but wordpress not recognize me as admin. Dashboard has only user privileges. No Tools, Plugins, Appearance, etc.

    To prevent this to happen:
As @mario-barretta I did renamed through FTP “wp-custom-admin-interface” folder to “wp-custom-admin-interface1” to get access back to my admin dashboard.

To reproduce this issue. I did renemad folder back to original “wp-custom-admin-interface” but issue no occur any more for me.

As you said …”The issue might have to do with temporary caching”… Also I do use W3 Total Cache and Cloudflare.

Did you try the alternate version of the plugin I attached before?

    No Sir.

Well try that and see if that solves the issue. At this point in time I can’t repeat the issue on my end and I can’t ask for login details to inspect your site for a potential issue. Thanks,

@northernbeacheswebsites i do not manage cache and i’ve tried to use your plugin version shared with dropbox but it do not solve nothing.
only way to have newly access to my dashboard ( how admin ) is to rename and do not use your plug in.
I’ve tested it also in local site but without solving the issue.

    Hi @mario-barretta,

Unfortunately I can’t repeat this at all on a new install. Therefore what I can only recommend is installing this plugin here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/op9j1wt9kx6gwiq/wp-custom-admin-interface-delete-settings.zip?dl=0 which will delete all settings of the plugin and then installing the latest version again. If this should not work I would be pretty confused on what the issue might be!

Hello @northernbeacheswebsites i’ve done that you suggested me and installed and activated your plugin shared.( https://www.dropbox.com/s/op9j1wt9kx6gwiq/wp-custom-admin-interface-delete-settings.zip?dl=0 )
After i’ve installed other that you’ve shared ( https://www.dropbox.com/s/6pyko8hrmrmqtz5/wp-custom-admin-interface.zip?dl=0 ) and now it work.
Thank You and suggest you to inser this function on your plug in so that is not needed to have an other plug in to delete settings that still remain also after having removed your plug in.
Thank you and have a nice day

Hi folks. I had a similar issue with this update: all admin menu items had disappeared for Admin users, bar the one item that I had configured for non-Admin users to see.

I followed one of the FAQ answers and navigated to yourwebsite.com/index.php?wp-custom-admin-interface=delete-menu. This fixed the problem – and all my original settings remained intact (strangely they were not deleted…).

    Hope this helps someone.

Thanks @stratexecution for offering your solutions, that’s helpful ??

I confirm, the solution of @stratexecution
    it worked for me too.

    Thank you

    Hi @northernbeacheswebsites
in reality I realized that it was resolved in part.
    There are actually two problems.

    Problem 1
The technique suggested by @stratexecution allows you to log in again as an administrator, and the settings remain.
But the problem remains. The settings cannot be activated.

The problem in the plugin is that menu and other settings are not applied.

For example, if I hide some menu items, these are not hidden if imposed like this:
    Implement this for Everyone except
    Role: Administrator

they are hidden for all users if instead imposed as follows:
    Implement this for no-one except
    Role: Administrator

    Problem 2
To solve the problem I deleted all the plugin settings.
Then I exported the settings from the backup copy, copying and pasting the code that returns the plugin.
The import takes place, a message confirms the success, but no settings are imported.
