• All of my posts/pages have the original published date, in yoast snippet and google search snippet, instead of last updated date as dictated in my themes code implemented by MTS support team.

I show last updated date on all posts before re-adding yoast plugin after using rankmath for the last 8 months or so.

But now for whatever reason yoast is only showing published date even though my themes function.php file outputs last updated date and css outputs last updated date in all posts. (Don’t use dates on pages)

So is there something i’m missing here
    (1) like an additional functions.php code
    (2) could Schema Pro and Yoast be conflicting (can’t imagine why)
    (3) does Yoast and MTS Theme have know incompatibility issues (Couldn’t find anything of the sort on MTS’s Support Threads and support team says they no of none)

Open to suggestions because this yoast support thread is the last stop on my support team tour 2020.

That and it’s always the last place you look and this is definitely that.

Or in other words… HELP PLEASE!!!

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

We looked at your site and can confirm that Yoast SEO is generating the necessary schema markup and as well as the SEO meta for the last modified date and not only for the published date. So, Google should be able to detect the last modified date and show it in the search results.

However, if Google shows the published date in the search results, it might be a Google cache specific issue and will eventually fix once Google recrawls the relevant page.

no because in the backend (post editor) the date withing the snippet is the published date and since adding yoast again my dates in search have reverted back to published date instead of last updated.

So yoast can not be displaying this correctly if I can clearly see my SERP snippets displaying a different date than they were last week when I was using rankmath.

So what just go back to rankmath then?

or is there a functions code or something similar that your going to give me to display the date I am requesting to display.

I also do not have the options when linking out to add nofollow or sponsored attributes.

We’re sorry for the trouble. Regarding the published date issue, can you please provide some screenshots that highlight this issue in order for us to have some clear picture of this issue? We’ll try to investigate further.

As for nofollow and sponsored when you add a link inside your content, Yoast SEO provides you with extra settings. Is this option not appearing in your case?

    Hi,

Are you using the latest version of Yoast SEO for WordPress 15.0? Also, are you using the default WordPress block editor? Or are you using a page builder or custom content box to insert your content?

Just to be sure, we would like to rule out any plugin or theme conflicts that may occur. The fastest way to do this is to?deactivate all non-Yoast plugins and switch to a standard theme?like?Twenty Nineteen.?

Test this on your development or staging site, if you have one. If not, we recommend using the?Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin. This plugin allows you to run a conflict check?without affecting normal visitors to your site.

As we can imagine that you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.
