    Hi,

this morning I update iThemes Security plugin to the latest version, 5.4.0, and the new Settings page is totally blank.

I’ve already tried to disable other plugins etc, but this page remains totally blank.

I notice that I have only the possibility to switch in Settings page into All, Recommended and Advanced options: when I click on iThemes from the main menu I find myself into the Recommended tab already (with blank page) .. but if I click on other tab (like All) I have a friendly WP error page: “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”

I’m superadmin, so this is not possible. Please fix this, now the plugin is not usable for me.

Try in Chrome and Firefox, same bug, into WP multisite, version 4.5.2.

    Thanks

  • I have a single site, and installed 5.4.2, the change in behavior was that it did not pop with the first install screen where we take backup, allow permissions and do one click secure.
It just shows a black page for settings, logs come up fine but sure there are no logs as this is a fresh wordpress with fresh iThemes install.

    Any clues @dwinden , @mariogatti84 ?

    *blank page. (sorry for typo)

    Server info, if it helps:-

    Apache Version 2.2.31
    PHP Version 5.4.45
    MySQL Version 5.6.29-76.2
    Architecture x86_64
    Operating System linux

    @gerroald

Where do we fix permissions the way we allowed when previous version first installed ?

Right now after resolving the settings page blank I get this a lot many times…

/home/<account>/public_html/.htaccess could not be written. This could be due to a permissions issue. Ensure that PHP runs as a user that has permission to write to this location.

Nice to hear you were able to resolve the blank Settings page issue.

Updating to 5.4.2 will fix all the incorrect links for MultiSite (It turns out there were a lot more invalid links than the ones we found).
One last request. Please do not respond to peeyushworks request in this topic.

    Thank you for your feedback.

So I changed WordPress salts and as expected it forced me to log back in, and now all settings save fine and that permissions error does not come anymore.

I feel like a dufus now, seems everything works just by shaking up the way we are used to work in iThemes. ??
