    Hey man,

As the title suggests, your last update deleted ALL of my custom page folders, which is a major, major bummer. I spent a LOT of time setting these up! =(

Was going to change my review, but figured it best to just give you the heads up — seems more productive. Hopefully you can fix this and not affect others negatively.

Anywho, I’ve just deactivated the plugin now because I’m DEFINITELY not going through the motion of setting back up all of my folders. =(

    Cheers.

    Hi @qeyduey,

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble with the last update.

We’ve tried to reproduce the issue on our end but so far haven’t had any luck. Can you give me a little more info?

What do you see when you visit the Pages screen now? Is the folder pane there on the left but with no folders? Are there any errors at the bottom of the page or in the browser’s error console? If you change the admin URL to wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=wf_page_folders, do you see your folders listed there?

    Hey @wickedplugins,

No worries. I understand that this kind of stuff happens. It was just frustrating; I’m not upset at you or anything. xD

Here’s the issue in more detail after re-examining:
When I upgrade to 2.16.0 and navigate to Pages, it shows 5 empty folders from a custom post type that I created folders for. It should be showing about 20+ folders/sub-folders for my page post type.

Update: I rolled the plugin back to 2.15.1 and got all of my folders back. Tried upgrading to 2.16.0 again and same issue occurs. I have since disabled updates until this issue is resolved. I’m content with this workaround for now.

I just upgraded again to 2.16.0 to test this for you, and yes, they do in fact show there. But again, if I navigate to wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=page, they do not. I just see the 5 folders from the custom post type.

    I hope this helps.

Thanks for the additional details @qeyduey.

Based on your description of the issue, I believe I may have found the issue. It’s a bit of a shot in the dark as I wasn’t able to reproduce the problem on my end but, in looking at the code changes, I saw one change that I think could possibly explain your issue.

We’ve gone ahead and updated the plugin with a fix that I’m hoping will solve the problem for you. Would you be willing to try updating to 2.16.1 to see if the issue is resolved?

Thanks for your help with this and for taking the time to report the problem! Sorry for the hiccup!

    My pleasure! =D

I have a similar problem for the last couple of months. I’ve been keeping up with updates and I’m on version 2.17.1 of Wicked Folders. But, in my WordPress dashboard view, there are no “folders” section under the Pages and Posts on the left side. The folders category no longer exists. Help!

    Hi @alcohol123,

Sorry to hear you’re having trouble. Can you clarify a bit what you mean? Do you mean than when you go to the “Pages” screen in WordPress, you no longer see the folder tree on the left-hand side?

Or did you mean that you are no longer seeing a menu item named “Folders” in the navigation menu on the left-hand side?
