I’ve configured CAOS plugin enabling GDPR compliance as you explain here and everything was working like a charm but…the last update broke that functionality.

I’ve tried both options (cookies set or value) but the GA cookies are loaded in both cases before the user clicks on “accept” button. I’ve decided to rollback to the previous version and everything is ok again.

Please help, I have written a post explaining your method to the spanish WordPress comunity and now it’s useless. I’m also thinking about translating your plugin.

    Thanks in advance!

    Really?

That’s strange. I’ll see if I can reproduce the issue. Thanks for letting me know!

I’m sorry, but I can’t reproduce the issue. If you use the GDPR Cookie Consent plugin as I suggested in that post, the settings should be as follows:

    – Enable GDPR Compliance? Checked
    – Allow tracking when: cookie has value
    – Cookie name: viewed_cookie_policy
    – Cookie value: yes

Could you double check these settings?

And thanks for the support, btw!

FYI: I released a small update, because I noticed that in some configurations, not all new options became visible in the admin-screen. I figured you might’ve missed configuring an option because of this, which might’ve caused the break in your tracking code.

Could you try and let me know?

Hi Dan0sz, now is working. I was not filling the field “cookie has value”. Can I suggest that you update the instructions in your post? I will do it in mine.

    Thanks for your support!

No problem, I’ll have to update the post. You’re right.

    @santifri,

I’ve updated the post and also created another post on how to make CAOS compatible with another WordPress Cookie Notice plugin. To illustrate its power with the new features. ??

    Thanks for your efforts!
