Hi, Since the last update, this plugin created conflicts with other plugins. I saw this happening with 2 other plugins. First, “Convert Plus”, popups won’t show up if Fast Velocity Minify is activated. Secondly, Elementor page builder. In this case, things like accordion content won’t work.

I use WP fastest cache, and I always disable all the minifying and compressing options in this one, so no possibility of conflict there. Also, besides my favorite settings, I tried tweaking options in Fast Velocity Minify, and nothing helped. Problems only go away when I deactivate it.

    Thanks and Regards

    Hi there,

On the latest version, PHP Minify has been updated (the third party library that minifies js and css content).

Can you disable minification on css and js, purge the cache on the plugin and see if it’s related to that?

For the elementor plugin, you have to select the fix page editors option.
    Should work fine.

    Hello,

    Thanks for your answer.

Regarding the convert plus plugin, your instructions worked. Actualy I tried disabling them simultaneously and, after that, separately. In the end, it worked by disabling only minification on js. The popups are showing again.

For elementor, I didn’t need to do anything, it’s working fine now. It’s not related to the solution above… can’t explain it.

The problem was identified, thank you!

In that case you have 2 solutions.

Either keep minification disabled on js files, or find the conflicting file and add it to the ignore list.

Probably, disabling JS minification as you did, may be actually easier.

This may or may not be fixed in the future, when a new version of PHP Minify comes out and I push it to our plugin.

Also, if you see an option to minify with YUI Processor (must have java on the server to see it), you can use it instead.

    Hi Raul,

I’ve installed your plugin after having installed WP Fastest Cache.

After the activation of your plugin I’ve testes the website performance and I’ve checked better results on GTMetrix but if I go back to the WP Fastest Cache setup and I try to save, I get the nessage “Fast Velocity Minify needs to be deactived”.

I tried to modify the setup (deactivating the minify options, etc.) but so far the only way to avoid this message is deactivating your plugin.

Can you tell me which are the steps I’ve to follow to fix this problem ?

    Thanks.
    Francesco

@francescoscalzoemailit that’s a message from WP Fastest Cache plugin, nothing I can do.

Kindly open a support request with them, or use W3 Total Cache, which is much better than WPFC and as a lot more options.
