• Several people, including myself had issues with version 20.9 and makes it impossible to use Yoast. Sadly, Yoast doesn’t seem to care or they are totally incapable of solving the issue. They also want us to do the work for them but deactivating plugins and doing all sorts of technical stuff when this issue is clearly on their side.

I rolled back to 20.8 which works but I will be forced to stop using this plugin now as I cannot update anymore. Moving on to Rank Math.

  • Hi @danniee001,

    Thanks for your review.

I am sorry to read you’ve been experiencing problems with Yoast SEO. I know how concerning it’s when a plugin doesn’t work as expected after an update.

As you correctly pointed out, several users experienced a blank Yoast meta box after updating Yoast SEO to 20.9. In most cases we’ve looked at, users managed to fix the problem by either:

    • Clearing the server/site/browser cache as explained in this help article
    • Disabling/updating a conflicting plugin/theme. For example, in a couple of cases, the conflict was caused by an old version of Divi, and users fixed the problem by updating to the most recent version of Divi. If you’re unfamiliar with checking for conflicts, we’d like to point you to a step-by-step guide that will walk you through the process:?How to check for plugin conflicts.

If you decide to use Yoast SEO again in the future and the problem persists after checking the above, we’d appreciate it if you could create a new topic in the plugin forum. Our support team will look into the issue and assist you further.

    Thanks!

Nah, a lot of people still have problems and they are still not solved. I don’t use divi and I version 20.8 works fine. You guys messed something up with your recent update, making your plugin incompatible with a bunch of plugins probably. I can’t do all the work for you and solve your issues, so either you fix your plugin or people like me will use your competitor’s plugins instead. Like I said, 20.8 works fine, so whatever you did, just roll back and fix it.
