I get the following error and now my dashboard and plugin pages are broke and I can’t even update anything.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/content/11/4695511/html/public/wp-content/plugins/simple-membership/classes/class.swpm-auth.php on line 351

Actually, taking a further look, it broke my whole site.

    Hi, sorry to hear this.

So you are saying that prior to this update your site was working well with the previous version 3.5.5. If this is correct, just out of curiosity what version of PHP is your server running.

The latest update only implemented the Russian language and Stripe subscription button.

    Regards

I’m facing the same issue and I cannot ask for server upgrade as it messes with my other projects that are not in WordPress, so can you please send download link to version 3.5.5 I had no issues with that one

All my plugins and WP core are up to date, just updating wp simple membership caused my issues today.

I am not sure what php version is being run as I cannot see the server backend, only the wordpress admin area.

@theoriginalcole, can you speak to your host and ask them if they can provide that information.

    Thank you

This only happens if your server is using a very old version of PHP. Please request your host to upgrade to a more recent PHP version.
