• Hi,

The plugin seems not have been updated since 09/01/2017.
When are you going to update it?
Is it still compatible and secure with WordPress versions 5+ ?

Thank you very much in advance.

  • I still use it on all my sites. I think it hasn’t been updated just because it doesn’t need any updates.

The developer of this plugin should do an update to the repository including an update of the version of WordPress that it was tested with. This lets the WordPress community know that the plugin is still maintained and not abandoned. The Wordfence plugin running on my site considers this plugin as abandoned since it has not been updated in two years.

I’m curious about this issue as well. Is it still secure?

Can the plugin author just bump the supported version? My Wordfence is reporting it as abandoned, and it’s working fine on WordPress 5.1 ??

I have the same problem as dingo-d, my Wordfence plugin is complaining about the plugin, saying it has been “abandoned”…

Hi all, I am still using this plugin and it works really well. You can edit the readme text file in the plugins folder and add 5.1 to the following entry Tested up to: 5.1. That will stop security plugins like Wordfence reporting it as an abandoned plugin.

If you want you can also edit the following file google-authenticator.php and edit the following line Compatibility: WordPress 4.5.1 and type 5.1. So it will say Compatibility: WordPress 5.1 instead.

I know this is not very nice but at least you will stop receiving warnings from security plugins ??

    Kind regards

Hi, everyone try the latest version. It is now up to date now thanks to Ivan ??

    Enjoy
