Please re-enable the last row settings for justified galleries in V2.
    This was a great feature.
I’ve been using FooGallery for so long and always loved it. Why this downgrade now?

    hi @ronaldfuchs2016

There was a reason it was included in previous versions:

The template could not handle the situation when there were too few images on the last row. In those cases, the images were expanded to fill up the space which caused visual issues. The most noticeable issue was when there was a single image and it was made full width resulting in a huge image in the last row. This obviously does not look good and is why we introduced the option to hide the last row. It also makes no sense to hide any images in the gallery, if you want them to be in the gallery in the first place.

The reason we have removed the last row setting in V2:

We have corrected that issue, and have introduced an alignment setting so that the last row can now be aligned. The images in the last row are also no longer expanded out of proportion to the rest of the gallery, so there is no need to hide the last row.

So in summary, please use the alignment setting going forward.

    Hi Bradvin,

Love you gallery but I think your makeing a big mistake with not being able to hide the last row in this latest release.
I use it becasue I dont want a last showing on different screen sizes if there are not enough images to make up the last row. So I dont a partial last row with 2 images when the other rows are all 5 wide.
I want it to look even.
It was the best feature about FooGallery and very sorry you have removed it.

@bradvin Thank you for your detailed answer, but…
I dont want to hide the last row. I want to justify it.
Now, in V2 i checked the most of my galleries and the result is frustrating: in most galleries the first and the last row are not justified!
I can only agree with @mcbightonbrian – it was the best feature in FooGallery.

I would be very happy, you can fix it in next release.

    Hi @ronaldfuchs2016,

The last row is always justified now, the difference is the new version adheres to the max row height essentially fixing a long standing bug in the previous version. So the image is never expanded past the max height, the last row is simply aligned to left, right or center. That is why the justify and nojustify options for the last row option became redundant and were removed. Please try adjusting your max row height if you want images in the last row to grow larger than they currently are.

@mcbightonbrian we’ll look at adding back the hide last row option for your use case.

    Thanks

I can not quite confirm that. Allmost it works as you described. But i have still two issues:
    1) a 4pics gallery with 2 pics in a row: last row unjustified
    2) a large gallery with 57 photos: last row unjustified

in both cases, the pics have a sufficient height. I set max rowheight to 1000 for testing. but it doesnt work.

All the other galleries work fine with setting: rowheight 200 maxrow 600

    Hey @ronaldfuchs2016

That’s good to hear that it resolved most of the issues for you. I forgot that the new version also checks the average height for all rows and makes sure the last row does not exceed that value by more than 10%. This was a measure to try and counter the situation where the last row contained a single small image which was then blown up to huge proportions in an attempt to make it fit width wise. So in the cases where it is not working for you I assume it would result in an abnormally large image in the last row compared to the rest of gallery and so constrains it to make it fit in.

    We’ll be adding the last row option back in but in a slightly different format. At present it will have only three values to choose from;

    1. The current default behavior which adheres to the max row height and checks the average of all previous rows.
    2. Then it will have the option to simply force justify the last row letting it ignore the max row height constraint and average of the previous rows, this is effectively the same as the old justify behavior but you could once again end up in some cases where you have extremely large last row images.
    3. Then finally it will have the option to simply hide the last row if it does not fill the entire space to satisfy @mcbightonbrian’s use case.

    Thanks
    Steve

    Thank you @steveush and @bradvin !
the actual release works perfect with the updated LAST ROW SETTINGS.
    I prefer the “Justify Setting”.
