“Last” in February/November

  • I just saw a thread from last week which seems to be the same issue I am having:
    Missing last thursday events in Feb/Nov

    Per the forum guidelines I am creating a new thread rather than adding to that one.

    Further information that might be helpful…

    I have a recurring event that has been scheduled and unedited for quite some time, that is not showing up on the Last Thursday in November and also in February.

    I have a second recurring event that has been scheduled for a long time, but was edited today to permanently move the meeting from the Last Thursday to the Last Tuesday. It does not show up in February 2018, November 2018, nor February 2019, but it does appear as desired in November 2019.

    I only noticed this today when making the edit to the recurring event so I don’t know when the problem may have originally been introduced. I’ll be glad to provide further information if it is helpful. Thanks for a great plugin.

  • I should like to know how to unsubscribe from this topic. My emailbox is daily filled with meesages.
    It states that when I log in I should be able to unsubscribe. The only possibility I see is subscribing, and I want to UNSUBSCRIBE.
    Any body suggestions or can you notify the moderator ?

    Thanks for the additional input. I’m on process on testing the Recurring. Can you also check that you’re using PHP 7 and that you’re not using WPML?

    You might have checked the “Notify me of follow-up replies via email” when creating a reply thus you would receive replies. If you want to UNSUBSCRIBE, You would need to go to the Topics the you subscribe then press the UNSUBSCRIBE link on sidebar. Those links should be on the emails or on topics where you reply and created.

    This site is on PHP 7.2 and is not using WPML.

    I just paged through the Events for the next 2+ years and got the following results – if this helps you to discern a pattern.

    RECURRING EVENT #1 – has been scheduled for “Last Thursday” since it was created.

    Individual events were not generated for the following months: February 2019, November 2019, February 2020. However, it DOES show up on the last Thursday in November 2020 and February 2021.

    RECURRING EVENT #2 – originally scheduled for “Last Thursday” but changed to “Last Tuesday” yesterday.

    Individual events were not generated for following months: February 2019, April 2020. It does display as expected in November 2019, February 2020 and November 2020, but for some reason it isn’t there in April 2020.
