Last Attempt for Exhibit Admin Support

  • I’ve been trying since 2005-07-16 to find a solution to this problem. I have searched the forums and tried many of the examples people have for ‘fixing’ something along this line. (CGI switch, userinfo())

    I am currently using WordPress 1.5.1.3 with Exhibit 1.1d2 (I tried all: 1.1 and 1.1 asy and the 1.1d2)

    Everything works fine – the exhibit database is called and the pictures display correctly.

    However. The Admin panel WILL NOT DISPLAY on the Write/Manage etc control panel in either basic or advanced modes. Yes, I’ve saved the posts and went back in. I have the cfg file setup to my image dump dir and I have it CHMODded (I think I’ve tried everything from 6xx to 777)

    Still: No admin panel at all.

    I am hosted on Dreamhost.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m a bit tired of being ignored. ??

    As an interim photo ‘software’ I’ve been using Flickr and just copy pasting code like crazy, but I really enjoyed how great Exhibit was.

    Is there hope for something? Or should I just cut my loses and move on to something else?

  • Have you tried contacting the plugin author? deactivating and reinstalling it?

    I have not attempted to contact the author, from what I see he posts regularly on the support forums here, just not in the thread I had posted to earlier nor this one.

    Each time I installed a ‘different’ version of the plug I deactivated it, reinstalled and then reactivated the plug. Still, it all seems to work, but for the admin panel does not show up in the write interface like it used to (I do understand that it doesn’t show up unless you have saved the post first, then refreshed the post you are editing)

    Well, I have fiddled with it for weeks, and with no responces… I’m just going to dump it. Sucks, because I used it for massive amounts of my earliest posts, and this will break them. oh well.

    This sucks. I was hoping this would work for someone. Doesn’t work for me either the admin and I cna’t find a solutions. Pelase post at Owen’s site.
