First of all, this plugin is really neat, thank you! It works perfectly on desktop. However, on my mobile device (Android, chrome browser), there is a large gap of white space above the PDF viewer. Any idea how to resolve this?

I copied the PDF embed code into a Divi text module, not sure if that has anything to do with it.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

There is something in your site that is wrapping the object tag in mobile in a fluid-width-video-wrapper with an inline style of padding-top: 75%. This is causing the spacing.

A quick Google search shows that this is inserted by the FitVids.js. You must have something that is using this, either a theme or plugin.

Ah okay, interesting… I think it may be my theme, in which case I’ll probably have to revert to another embed method.

    Thanks for your quick reply!

Thanks for a useful reply. I am also using Divi and was experiencing the white space on mobile. Now I know the fix (thanks Andy) I am using Gabriel Livan’s plugin, Asset Cleanup which allows me to stop individual .js files from loading on specific pages. I have stopped this from loading on the appropriate page – /wp-content/themes/Divi/includes/builder/scripts/ext/jquery.fitvids.js and the white space on mobile has gone.

I guess from the title, the js file is for fitting videos onto a page so it could be a problem if you’ve got videos and and embedded PDF’s on the same page but otherwise it works.
