I have created a table with 134 rows and 32 columns
The problem is it is difficult (impossible?) to maintain within WordPress because the default column width in “edit tables” is so large that you lose your place in the table
In Excel you can “freeze” the first row and first column so that you can tell which cell you are updating, as you scroll through it
Can you do something alomng these lines or something else that solves this problem?
Allowing the user to change the column widths would also solve the problem

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Unfortunately, I don’t have a solution for a fixed header or similar on the “Edit” screen yet. I do however plan this for the completely rewritten “Edit” screen that I’m currently working on.

Changing the widths/size of the input fields is however possible: https://tablepress.org/extensions/input-field-size/

What would be nice is to be able to change min-width/height within the edit screen itself rather than hasving to update a file….
But this does help a bit

    Hi,

you can also drag the text fields bigger/smaller, in their lower right corner. This does however not “stick” which is why the file solution is superior here.

I can make them bigger but not smaller
It would be a pain to do this on a big table

    Hi,

yeah, I know. In that case, the code solution is better then.

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
