    With Atahualpa 3.7.8, only when I use the [expand=””] shortcut in a table, which I believe is a Collapse-O-Matic shortcut, I get a large space above each table the shortcut is in. If I remove the [expand] code, the large space goes away, as seen in this screenshot:
    https://romancenovelconvention.com/Wordpress-fix.jpg

    I’ve looked all over the theme settings and can’t find an option for it, so I’m assuming it’s in the actual theme default coding. Am I able to edit/change this to not have this large gap?

    And while I’m here, same for the little extra gap at the top of the top table (yellow) so that it lines up with the side widgets (red), which are both right under the header navigation bar.

    Thanks!

    Can you share a link to your page?

    Yes. That was an example page I made:
    https://romancenovelconvention.com/temp/

    Here is also the actual page I need it on:

    It seems got this issue resolved. Or are you still having trouble with the CSS?

    Thread Starter JTwordpress

    (@jtwordpress)

    No, not resolved. You asked me for the URL to the page so I sent it to you and have been waiting to hear back.

    When I use the [expand] coding in a table, the space above the table increases from less than 1/8″ (without the [expand] coding) to about 3/4″ (with the [expand] coding). It ONLY makes that large gap above the table (black space) when I use the [expand] coding anywhere in a table. You can see it on those pages I linked above.

    Thanks.

    Sorry, but you will have to explain the issue with a bit more detail.
    There seems to be expand elements with out any spacing on this page:
    https://romancenovelconvention.com/rnc2015-classes/

    Please provide an example of what exactly you are doing to create the spaces on this page: https://romancenovelconvention.com/temp/
    Someting like:

    <table>
    <tr>
    <td>[expand title="trigger text"]content[/expand}</td>
    </tr>
    </table>

    Also, you might try using the tag=”div” attribute in the shortcode or set the default tag element to div in the plugins settings page.

    Normally, spaces are added because of the wpautop filter. You can see a few more threads about how to address that on some of these threads.

    We have also added the ability to remove all content filtering on the latest version of the plugin that is being released today.

    Never mind, I just figured it out. The [/expand] has to be “after” </table>, not “before” it. Thanks!

    Ah yes! Sorry. Did you not see this thread?

    found by searching for collapse-o-matic + tables

    Also there is this link, found in the documentation.

    Issue resolved.
