Large post import times out and fails

  • I tried to use this feature but when I try to import it times out and crashes. Nothing gets downloaded to the new site and the posts don’t create on my new host. My posts contain over 100 full sized images on them each. I tried exporting one month at a time but the issue still happens.

    Hi,

    Large imports with many images usually suffer from webserver timeout issues.

    When you have access to the server using the command line, you should try to import using wp-cli.
