Large Menu with Thousands of Items

  • Hi,

    I’m currently using WordPress built-in menu for my website but its agonizingly slow. I’m looking to use this plugin but want to know if:

    1: It can handle the amount of items we need. We have around 500 products and then many other menu items for category and subcategories etc…I think around 2000 menu items.

    2. Since we’re using the WordPress built-in menu, I believe that’s one of things making it very slow considering there’s so much in there, does this plugin still use the built-in menu and if so will it handle this size?

    Hi chutt5,

    MMM builds on the existing core menu system, so it would not help in this case.

    For such a large menu I would suggest building it dynamically. You could try something like ‘Add Descendants as sub menu items‘ or ‘JC sub menu’.
