large idb file

    Hello,
    I have noticed a large file ending with itsec_logs.ibd which keeps growing. What is that file and why is it external to the plugin table in the database? Can I purge it or get rid of it?
    In fact, it seems that each WordPress website running your plugin has a file of that kind, why?

  • Where (what path) is that file located ?

    .ibd files are generally part of MySQL…

    To prevent any confusion, I’m not iThemes.

    They are inside /var/lib/mysql/ but definitely related to iThemes. Only the websites with the iThemes plugin have them.
    They seem binary files as I cannot see what’s inside.

    Oh well, I just learned that mysql created those files for each table in order to speed up things or something…
