hi andy – your surgery on my website was immaculate. the patient is looking great and everything works ??
thank you so much! greetings, jp

That’s great jp. As I see all these people not exactly knowing how to create a child theme and add the tribe-events override folders I think I’ll create a child theme for twentyeleven and put it up on GitHub. Stay tuned here for when I get a chance to do it.

BTW, I love the site. Here’s the one did for my son’s scout troop. He’s since Eagled and is now off to college. https://troop262ps.org

For everyone here who hasn’t quite figured out how to make a child theme or who hasn’t quite figured out what we mean when we write {THEME}/tribe-events/tribe-events.css I’ve created a basic child theme for TwentyEleven.

It already contains the override CSS that we’ve been discussing in this thread. If you’re using the TwentyEleven theme all you’ll have to do is download the file above and install and then activate it.

It should safely allow all these changes to persist across any theme or plugin update.

In my Upcoming Events widget, I have a line between the Event Name and the Date. When my events are listed, it makes it appear that the date is associated with the name of the event below it. How can I change this and make my listings appear more concise and related?

Sorry, have not found an answer to this in the forum. I appreciate the help.

jimmyoaklawn, you don’t suppose you could ask your question in a new thread. Many will see that this thread has been answered.

Yes, I opened a new thread. Thanks for the suggestion.

    That’s appreciated Jimmy ??

As a general note to all it’s far better to create your own thread – with a link to the problem, so the team can see it – than to pile in on a thread created by someone else. Doing so helps us to help you a lot faster, and it also helps others who might be searching for solutions in the future to find a meaningful answer more quickly.

    Thanks!
