Large filter list makes site Very slow

This isn’t a bug and not a complaint, more of an FYI. I have a large filter list, built over many years from different sources. It includes text in several languages. I just copy/paste the text into the word field for this plugin. The total size is almost 250k. Unfortunately the list is loaded frequently by the plugin, so hits to the site are delayed and many are rejected.

I understand that this is probably just a fact of life, that more data requires more time to load and process. I’m just hoping that there’s some way that this plugin can be optimized to use a larger number of keywords. OR: It would help if it supports regex or another mechanism that would allow me to eliminate some common patterns and redundancies in my list.
