Large Drop Down List Breaks Form

Hi All,
I have a large drop down list in my contact form (over 200 options) and this seems to break the entire form including editing the form and viewing the page with the form shortcode.
It seems that I am not the only one with this problem https://stackoverflow.com/questions/15221290/wordpress-contact-form-7-dropdown-issue-due-to-too-many-options
Does anyone have a solution for this?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
