Hi Takuro – it is strange and contacted my host to modify the below, but the max I can do is now 30 records per file, I used to be able to do 90-100

I also played with the file directories but it doesnt affect the import still and times out – i even removed the thumbnail entries so no images are created – but still times out

Do you have any idea why?

    From the host:

    Hello Eugene,

    Thanks for the email.

The limits are still currently set to the below.

The old exec time was 60 sec, increased 10x to 600 sec or 10 minutes. We are not willing to increase this limit any further.

On another note: I have looked into the internal directory of some of the images:

    /webspace/siteapps/WordPress-10008/htdocs/wp-content/uploads/2015/

The following directories have a large number of image files:

    “04” 13810 files
    “05” 8795 files
    “02” 10005 files
    “01” 9999 files

When attempting to FTP and access these directories, it can take anywhere between 10-20 seconds just to pull up the directory.

It may be best to seek some way of better optimising this structure (i.e. reducing the number of images to 1000 or less per directory), or deleting unwanted images from this directory. I believe i read somewhere that GoDaddy (your previous host) recommends only having 1024 image files per directory).

I have gone back to our engineers with this information and will await their response. I will notify you with any update they provide.
