    Hey Michael,

Here is another topic I’d like to discuss. There is a Github issue you opened about it and a support thread from a year ago (I couldn’t reopen).

For a use of BadgeOS into large projects with lots of users and badges, some things really need to be updated.

For example, particularly in the nomination box, selecting users would need to be more simple (choosing between IDs, names, etc. / use of select2 to replace a current dropdown with an autocomplete field or an autocomplete dropdown / multiple selections / etc.).

Same problems in the steps UI or the admin UI for rewarding badges.

Then some add-ons would be useful (integrated rating system, more shortcakes to display BadgeOS info in custom ways…) but that’s another topic.

Thank you again, have a great day,

    Emilien

    more shortcodes* (sorry, autocorrect)

and I realize I didn’t ask: are you aware of some upcoming enhancements about it?

I have definitely noticed an uptick in comments about select inputs and how they become unwieldy in larger sites, and I have created a GitHub issue about it. We’ll see where that takes us at the moment.

Shortcodes are easy enough that they could be done by 3rd parties as necessary, truth be told. I would love to see someone take some initiative to create a custom shortcode pack and see what they come up with. Same can be said regarding widgets. In terms of BadgeOS core work, I think I’d prefer we focus on improving/optimizing/bug fixing anything in the ones we have already at the moment.

Not quite sure what type of rating system you’re envisioning here, as there are various types that could be made.

    Hi Michael,

I just saw you answered all my threads, thank you so much once again.
Regarding this one, thank you for following this on Github, I’ll follow it.

Regarding shortcodes and widgets, you are 100% right about focusing on the core plugin. I would love to participate to a project for creating third party add-ons but I’m not a developper myself o I can’t do it alone… would be great if some other persons were interested in creating a group about this.

thank you again Michael and have a nice black friday!
