    Hi,
my website/host disk space is filling up fast due to tons of generated JS files.
I did the fix a few weeks ago as described here but nothing has changed: https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/ts-optimize/#disk-space-filling-fast
I added the common part (for my page “.tdi_”) into
Litespeed Cache > Page Optimization > [8] Tuning > JS Excludes
    and
Litespeed Cache > Page Optimization > [9] Tuning – CSS > CSS Excludes
    Is this correct?
Do you have other suggestions how to fix this issue?
I filed a report through the Toolbox > Report function already – Report number: PQRLOWWB
    Thanks, Chris

you can open 2 similar sized JS files and use compare tool to check if there is any further difference.

Those JS files are exactly the same, JS Compare Tool doesn’t find any difference.
LiteSpeed has created approx. 13000 of those JS files in the last 2,5 days, each with a size of approx. 700KB.

Thank you very much for your help.

It gets a bit difficult for me to understand it here (I am not a tech/coding pro), but I’ll try.

    1) when using diffchecker.com the last time, there was indeed no difference between the files – no I see the difference you quoted; thank you

    2) the setAttribute variable is always different (for example a8ff93127d6b2805f9c672bc7bba463c in one file and ad27384d22910cbbfbc70cfb79c2fd48 in another file), so I don’t know what exactly I shall enter at JS exclude

    3) That’s why I entered the getElementById e04af3c551even even I have no idea if this is correct.

    4) Currently, my JS exclude looks like this: https://prnt.sc/-Wgr3L1yRpmv
    Does this help?

    5) Diffchecker found another difference now further down. Not sure how to handle and enter this one into JS exclude: https://prnt.sc/FE8jjOvkglQJ

    Thanks,

    2) that’s why it has to be exclude

    4) no really , first 2 are okay , rest probably won’t work at all

    5) you can just grab a piece of word of it , as unique as possible, for example, I would probably use comment-reply-link

    Hi,

    thanks for your quick reply.

Ok, I understand so far. Can you let me know what I should put into JS Excluse for 2) then?
I don’t get it how to enter it into JS Exclude if every ID is different.
Or do I enter just setAttribute??

    Thanks

just put setAttribute into the exclude

    Thanks, qtwrk.

Ok, done. But it is still creating more and more files – not talking about the CSS files, which are even more currently.

I used diffchecker again and now the differences in row 126/127 where we had the setAttribute before, is even bigger. It looks like now: https://prnt.sc/vhdWtSI5-LeF

The CSS file differences look similar …

now you can try add viator , you may need to repeat this process few times to get them all

Thanks. Well, it seems that this whole process is a bit more complicated than explained in the initial FAQ/guide https://docs.litespeedtech.com/lscache/lscwp/ts-optimize/#disk-space-filling-fast
For the moment, with the changes, it seems that Litespeed is producing a more reasonable amount of files, only like 50 MB per day or so instead of 5 GB.
I am not sure if the problem is fully solved, I will continue to observe it. But for the moment, I think we’re done. Thanks for your help.
