    Hello all,

I just came across this issue today, when I insert

      text on Cyrillic

under the “Featured page text” field I am getting displayed only around 120 characters of the text. I tried this with the following Bulgarian text:

Lorem Ipsum.

On other hand, when I insert text on Latin I am getting around 200 characters displayed. I tested it with the following text:

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Does anyone have any idea how this issue can be resolved?

    Thank you in advance,

  • @startwebsiting – Cyrillic text consume more character space then latin one, that is why you have less then 200. You could enlarge limited number of characters to 250 or 280, or so… you need to copy class-content-featured_pages.php file from Customizr theme to your child theme root folder and make the change (about lines 135-136).

Thank you for your quick reply, Tomaja.

Got it, I will try your idea. Just a question, what will happen with this file and the future updates of the Customizr theme? Should I copy/past this file to the child theme after each and every update of the theme?

    Thank you,

That is why I told you to copy the file and make the change in child theme, so any update of Customizr will not affect any of the child theme files.

Great, I will try this solution and come back to the form to report.

    Thanks again,

@tomaja – I tried copying the class-content-featured_pages.php to the Child theme, however I am getting errors on different lines. It seems that some of the lines should be put under comments … I am not quite sure what is the problem, but even when I copy the file without changing anything in it I am not able to start the site.

    @startwebsiting copy
customizr/parts/class-content-featured_pages.php to child-theme/parts/class-content-featured_pages.php and it should work

    Cheers

@tomaja – I did it ?? Thanks so much. It appeared that I forgot to put the php file in a sub folder of the Child folder called “parts”. Once I created this folder and copied the file there everything came perfect. So I managed to change the number of characters to 350 and now the whole text is displayed.

    Great help, thanks, tomaja.
