I’m sorry no one has made any suggestions. I’m afraid I’m no help in that respect either. I just wanted to warn you that IP recognition can be unreliable and within any language region, not all users will be comfortable with that language. IMO, it’s better to let the site be in its default language and give users the option to manually switch to another language. Country flags that can be clicked to change languages are a good option that require no foreign language skills and virtually everyone understands their purpose.
I say all of this because I’ve had first hand experience. I’ve traveled in several different language regions and have encountered automatic language by IP detection which has often been very frustrating because the sites were often unclear on how to switch to English, I was often required to understand the local language at least a little in order to navigate to the proper setting.
If you feel strongly about IP recognition, at least make it clear how to manually switch to another language without requiring any foreign language skills.
