Language switcher not working properly

  • I have installed wordpress/woocommerce/your plugin, set up translations products etc.

    Everything works fine except for the following, when I’m in my default language in a product category page, the language switcher defaults to the site home page for the second language. If I’m in the second language, it correctly displays the correct url for the default language.

    This does not happen in any other pages/ product pages /main shop page where the language switcher functions as expected.

    I tried to see if it was a problem with the product-category slug being in non-latin characters in the default language but even after changing it to latin it still does not work…any ideas?

  • Can you share the wordpress permalinks settings and Polylang URL modification Settings?

    this is the expected behaviour if the category translations have become disassociated, if so go to edit the category, type in the translations box to search for the translation to re-link and save it and the problem will be solved.

    Also, while editing you could turn off Supercache or other caching tools, as there is a possibility that some pages could be cached from before the other language was created so they will still have the link to home page for second language.
