Language switcher – dropdown menu with flags

  • Hi,

    I would like to display flags inside the dropdown menu of the language switcher.
    How can I achieve that?

    Hi,

    The dropdown of the language switcher in the widget displays an html <select> element. This html element has no capability to display images. This is an hmtl limitation. Several javascript librairies such as select2 or jquery-ui allow to work around that but it’s not implemented in Polylang. Some themes such as Twenty Seventeen allow to display menu items as dropdown. In that case the Polylang language switcher can be displayed as dropdown in the menu.
