Language-switch / lang_choice problems using BigBang theme

    I’m experiencing a problem switching language on cup.ca , a site which uses the BigBang theme. As an example, if I am on https://cup.ca/?page_id=10 and use the dropdown option for the other language, I will be redirected to the other language’s homepage — NOT the equivalent page.

    In my tests, I was able to achieve the functionality but only if I used something other than the dropdown option. (Unfortunately, my theme does not provide me with a simple way to insert the widget into the header). What might I be overlooking to achieve the functionality that I’m looking for?
