    Hi, I am using Polylang 2.0.9 and Ajax Search Lite 4.6.6.

    I have had great success using ASL for my site with only one language, but in order to localize the various data fields (e.g. the Placeholder text) it seems I would have to create specific hooks. Is this correct? Or is it possible to customize these text strings for various languages through the Pro version?

    Hi,

    The lite version currently only supports WPML string translations to translate the dynamic fields. Polylang support is also planned for the upcoming release. There are no filters added, simply because I felt it would have been too much (performance wise) to apply filters and translation functions at the same time.

    The pro version already supports Polylang string translations as well. But it is also possible to create multiple search instances to use it with each language.
