language slugs in the url

    I have the following requirements

    1. My site opens as <url>/en_US/. Is there anyway this starts opening as <url>/. Meaning en_US is the default language and we don’t want to show it in the url.
    2. For en_US, how can I make the slug display just ‘en’ not ‘en_US’.
