Thanks for this really useful plugin!

I installed it without problems, but my WordPress language setting is not taken into account.

I copied the files feedzy-rss-feeds-de_DE.mo and feedzy-rss-feeds-de_DE.po from /wp-content/plugins/feedzy-rss-feeds/languages to /wp-content/languages/plugins (after installation the files were not found there), but I don’t get a German translation in the backend. Usually I work my way with de_DE_formal, but that doesn’t work either.

    Where could be the problem?

  • Hi @nikelaos,

    Thanks for choosing Feedzy!

I tried to install that plugin but it looks like there is no free version, only a free trial. Unfortunately, we don’t have any experience with that plugin. You could address this issue to that plugin’s authors, maybe they will be able to better help you with this.

Thanks for understanding and have a nice day!

    Thanks for answering, @luciamarinescu !

Now that’s weird! I clicked on “www.remarpro.com-plugin-page” for this plugin and landed on this forum. Either the link is wrong or I don’t understand the sentence

Unfortunately, we don’t have any experience with that plugin.

So: who are the plugin authors of “FEEDZY RSS Aggregator” if it’s not from themeisle? Or in other words: In the forum of which plugin did I land here?

(Of course, it could still be a bot, but I can’t tell).

    Thanks again!

    Hi @nikelaos!

What I meant is that we don’t have any experience with the DeepL plugin. That’s why we suggest that you address this issue to the DeepL plugin authors since they should be able to help you with it.

    Have a nice day ahead!

Thank you for this clarification, @luciamarinescu .

Well, my native language is German and I rarely speak English. So I often use the website of DeepL https://www.deepl.com/translator to get my text translated for English speaking forums. I find this source better than the Google translator. (So DeepL is not a WP plugin).

So the problem remains: The Feedzy plugin does not show me any German translations, although the .mo and .po files for German are available, as described at the beginning.

    Thank you for your support!

    Hi @nikelaos,

I’m sorry for the delay here. Have you also tried other methods of translating the strings of Feedzy?

Also, does it work fine for other plugins in your server when you’re uploading translated files and is only an issue with Feedzy? Do some of the strings get translated or none of them is translated?

    Thanks!

Well, I don’t know any other way to translate WP plugins than using mo-files.

Yes, the other plugins work without problems, the problem exists only with Feedzy and for all of its text parts – even if I turn on the troubleshooting mode and activate only this plugin.

    Thanks for the support!
