Hey there @karin, hope you’re well today!

You should be able to find translation template file (.pot) for Appointments in /wp-content/plugins/appointments/languages/ folder.

This file includes only the original texts which you can use to make your own translation files once you replace the original text.

Please let me know if you have additional questions ??

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    Hey someone02,

Glad you managed to get this to work, please let us know if you have additional questions ??

    Cheers,
    Bojan

Sorry for joining here but I have problem too with language files. I made translation, my language settings are ok, but translations doesn’t show up. I translated earlier many plugins and themes and everything went well until now.
I made Estonian translation file, saved et.po and et.mo, uploaded these into languages folder… and nothing happened – still english ??

Hey there Toonio, hope you’re well today!

Sorry to hear you’re having issues with this.

Can you make sure you’re using the correct language extension something like appointments-et-EE.

Also try placing language files in /wp-content/plugins/appointments/languages/ to see if that will help.

Please let me know if this helps ??

    Cheers,
    Bojan

Nope, doesn’t work. Like I said, other plugins and themes are ok. Are all paths ok in your .pot file? Can you check?

    Hey again Toonio,

I’ve checked the .pot file and tried to translate something just to see if everything is working just fine https://screencast.com/t/h0TKaeRX4.

Which language you have selected in Setting -> General?

    Best regards,
    Bojan

Hey Bojan. Tell me please what i am missing

My site and the plugin is already online. What i’ve done:

    1) From FTP (appointments-languages) i downloaded and translated the file named appointment.pot with POEDIT.
    2) After saving, i had 2 files. One named el.po and one named el.mo
    3) I renamed them as appointments-et-GR.mo and appointments-et-GR.po
    4) I added in the first line of wp-config.php of my wordpress this line: define (‘WPLANG’, ‘zh_GR’);

and as you can imagine…nothing happened. what do i miss?

    Hey there Rivalf7,

    How are you doing today?

I’ve been playing around with language codes and I’m assuming you’re trying to translate the plugin to Greek?

If that is the case I’ve tried several language extensions to see which one will work for Greek and it appears that the one you’re supposed to use is “el” so both your .po and .mo files should be named “appointments-el”.

You can also try adding the files to /wp-content/plugins/appointments/languages and make sure you have Greek language selected in Settings -> General. Also you don’t have to add that line to wp-config.php.

Please let me know if this helps ??

    Best regards,
    Bojan

    It worked great!!!
    Thank you so much mate!!!

One more question please. How can i change the background color of the fields?

Plugin Author Bojan Radonic – WPMU DEV Support

    (@wpmudev-support4)

    Hey again Rivalf7,

    Glad that worked!

Not sure which fields you’re referring to, if you’re referring to calendar fields and the background colors of fields in the calendar you should be able to change them in plugin settings in Appointments -> Settings -> General -> Display Settings, see screenshot https://screencast.com/t/a6vrUVbfq.

If this is not what you’re trying to change can you please post link to your site where you have these fields and let me know which ones and I’m sure we’ll be able to change that with some custom CSS ??

    Best regards,
    Bojan
