I created a new post type in the CPT UI. However on the right sidebar under the Document for a new post created for the post type doesn’t have the Language option.

Afterward I enabled Polylang, and since there is no language set for the already created posts, any post created prior to enabling Polylang, is not showing up for me to edit.

How can I force a default language for those hidden post?

Not sure how to potentially force a default since I think the Polylang plugin sort of maybe does that already? Regarding getting the language toggle, I found that I had to visit the Polylang settings, and then the “Custom post types and Taxonomies” settings to enable for whichever ones I wanted. See if that helps you out with your particular situation.

Thanks Michael for the reply! I really appreciate it.

So when I first enabled Polylang, I had same issue with another CPT UI post. But I noticed it did prompt me to set the default language for all the post type that’s checked to set the default language. However I left out some post type and now that I checked (enabled) for Polylang, I don’t see the option anymore.

I think it’s best to reach out to the Polylang author or do you have any other suggestions before I do that?

    Thanks again!

They’re going to be your best bet at this point. I know Polylang exists and it looks like a good plugin, but I don’t have a lot of experience with actually using it or developing with it.
