    Hi,
Although the specific words displaying on my website are already translated into Hungarian, the language appearing on my website is English and not Hungarian. I use Loco translate plugin to check translated status and words.
I switched to twenty twenty theme, disabled all plugins and cleared the cached. Still the problem persists.

    Can anyone help?
    Thanks!

Probably the translation files are not synced with the latest version of the .pot files, so you don’t see all strings.

When using Loco click on the Sync button and then check.

Putting here two articles that might be helpful:

Hope this helps. Let me know.

    Cheers,

    Hi

Thank you for getting back to me. I pressed the sync button and it still didn’t work. Actually it seems like now it is even worse as words that we previously appearing in Hungarian are not showing in English ??

I guess after sync you checked the strings if they are translated and pressed save.

Can you share with me a URL to the page where strings are not translated? That will help me check if there is an issue with the plugins.

    K?szi!

    Szia András,

    Thanks for trying to help.

I really don’t know what happened, before the sync Loco translate showed Hungarian as 100% translated and after the sync it shows it as 23%… And the strangest thing is that those words that are showing in English are fully translated in the Loco plugin (well at least some, I didn’t check all).

I put up a list view towards the bottom of the main page: https://elvonulas.krisnavolgy.hu/
And the rest can be seen on the events page:
    https://elvonulas.krisnavolgy.hu/events/

    Thanks

    Szia @sukhayanti,

I looked at your site again and I realized only now that you are using Modern Events Calendar and not The Events Calendar.

If the translations in Loco translate are all good and translations for that plugin are not working, then please turn to their support team for help, as I’m not able to help you with it.

    Cheers,
    Andras

Yes, sorry, I switched to that plugin when things did not work well for me with your plugin.
I really appreciate you trying to help and the excellent support I got here. It was just easier and they also offered some other features that worked better for me.

Thanks for the clarification @sukhayanti !

I was wondering if I went nuts or something. ??

    Sorry to see you go.
Could you share with me what features you like on MEC?

    ??
    Sure!
Actually I liked the fact that I could add a repeating event with costume dates with the free version which you guys unfortunately provide only with paid version.
I also liked that they have a large selections of how the events can be displayed on the website, they have different kinds of lists, month, day and year view. I know you also offer that but it seemed that they had more options to choose from.
I didn’t go as far as to check if you also offer this in your free version, but they give the option of applying labels and create different shortcodes that will contain different labels. In this way I can have lists on my different event pages that show only the upcoming dates for that particular event and not for all and then on the main page I can display all events with all dates.
I liked the fact that I didn’t have any issues when translating words with the Loco translate plugin. Of course, it could be that I did something wrong when trying to translate the first time with your plugin, but when trying to do so with their plugin it worked with no issues. So this was a big one.

    Thanks again!
