• After updating my website to WP 5.8 I experience some strange issue.
I use the German version of WP. Admin language in the dashboard is also German.
For English content I use WPML latest version including WooCommerce Multilingual.
However, since the WP update there is a strange mixture in the dashboard of German and English.
For instance when I go to the Site health tool. The status is indicated in English while some menus are in German.
The same when I click on WPML on the left side of the dashboard. All the submenus used to be displayed in German. Now everything’s in English.
I deactivated all the plugins but there still appear mixtures of German and English. So this seems to indicate that not the WPML plugins cause this issue.
    Any ideas?
By the way I also tried to re-install WP 5.8_de but with no effect so far.

I have the German language pack installed on my site for testing purposes, I don’t really speak German, but can vaguely comprehend German labels. The German WP download version is really English with the German language pack pre-installed. My site has no plugins and the twenty twenty-one theme. The entire admin area is fully German for me, no English content at all. So I still suspect plugin or theme interference on your end.

You said you tested with plugins deactivated, but sometimes caching can confuse any debugging attempts. Themes can also possibly affect proper translation. Try using troubleshooting mode of the health check and troubleshooting plugin. Flush your browser’s cache and that of any server side caching that might be active before doing any troubleshooting.
