Language Complianz

    Hello, I have WordPress in Czech, users also in Czech, but in some mysterious way, Complianz setting appears in English and also generates the Cookie Policy in English. While on other websites, I have never had such problem and everything was done automatically in Czech.

    WordPress 6.2.2, Setting-Language-Czech, User-Czech, Updates-everything up to date


    Any idea how to fix it , please?

  • Hi @jdiezn8d,

    Can you check if all translation files are up to date by checking at Dashboard > Updates > Translations? If so, make sure that the translation files for both WordPress and Complianz are properly installed. You can verify this by checking the “wp-content/languages” directory for the Czech language files. If they are missing, you can to reinstall our plugin.

    Hello,

    yes, there was no Czech language file in the “wp-content/languages” directories.

    I deactivated the plugin, deleted it, pured all cache. Afterwards I newly installed the plugin and the situation is the same.

    Btw. after this reinstallation it keeps the setting of the previous installation…strange?

    Would you please recommend other steps?

    Hi @jdiezn8d,

    If WordPress can’t update the translation files on your environment, you could always try manually uploading the latest versions; which will often help resolve such issues.

    I have uploaded the Czech language files (.po & .mo) on the WeTransfer link below, which you can upload to the /wp-content/languages/plugins/ folder on your environment, after which the Czech translations should appear correctly once more.
