Language change for 3,0

  • I need to have blogs for different languages. I have a blog in English: https://www.eugenedemazenod.net and am about to get one going in Italian https://www.eugenedemazenod.net/ita ( to which I have loaded the WP in Engtlish). I want this one to have all the language in Italian. The only forum replies I can find seem to refere to an earlier WP version, because nowhere can I find the language setting change options in 3.0 that are spoken of (User and Settings:general). Where am I missing the train?

    Help! I am a total dummy and those two sites you referred to have confused me even more.

    Is there any simple way that I can get my site https://www.mazenodnetwork.net/ita to work in Italian without having to locate, open and change a file in a directory that I don’t know where to begin looking?

    Yesterday I tried to follow the instructions on the Italian installation and managed to successfully destroy and knock my https://www.mazenodnetwork.net site offline and not manage to restore it! Mercifully my server host had a copy, and so they kindly restored it for me. Understandably I am now too frightened to go anywhere near any directories!

    So, is there any simple way that ordinary folks who use your program (which is superb in English) can do the language shifts? If I manage to get this one working, then I will repeat the process for Spanish and French
