Unable to switch site language

  • Hi,

    I don’t know what happened but my WordPress is not changing language. From ‘Settings/General/Site Language’ when I switch from French to English it stays in French. I can’t switch to any other language. I deactivated all the plug-ins.
    Anyway to troubleshoot this?

  • When you say everything stays French… Do you mean the dashboard (/wp-admin/), or do you mean the front end of your site?

    Please check your browser’s language preference settings?

    Modifying browser’s language did not help. I have no issues with other wordpress sites.
    I noticed that if I put the dashboard in english or another language and logout, the login page is translated in the selected language.
    e.g.: username & password fields, remember me checkbox, login button …
