Apparently the “Powered by profitquery.com” part is located in one of the plugin’s minified js files.

It’s all GPL’ed code so when I have the time this evening I’ll walk you through the process to remove that Powered by text from your installation.

Profitquery copyright have only profitquery tools. And we have pro version, you can use profitquery tools without profitquery copyright. [Promotion moderated]

So how do you remove the Powered by bit?

Profitquery – external library, like many other tools. If you want use profitquery tools by free, all profitquery tools would be with copyright. If you want whitelabel you need order pro version. This is standart practice.

Your plugin embeds javascript in the HTML that loads this from your server.

Which is interesting ’cause the API key doesn’t do anything for the URL. You get the same JS file without the API key.

Just for my own curiosity, what is the service this plugin is providing?

Api Key is a very strong option which get access to profitquery platform. Just try to install plugin and set wrong key and you see only access denied error on the brwoser console.
