Hi, first of all thanks for this awesome plugin and the support you provide.

Im trying to change the language of the plugin with the .pot file.
I have done this with many plugins and I know that the files generated ( .mo and .po ) need to be named like “pluginame-languagecode”

So, I save the language files with “dws-ES_cl” but nothing happens, I know that ES_cl is the right language code for me because I use it with many other plugins.

I also tried to save the files with just “dws” but that didnt work also.

How do I make it work?

    Thanks for your help!.

Glad to help. I’m not sure why the language translation would not be working, but would recommend trying with a plugin like Loco Translate to see if that helps.

Let me know how it goes!

I really cant make it work.

Where I can modify the php code to put the text directly there, without the php connecting with the language files.

I know its not the best solution but I need it now, I want to change this text.

    Thanks for your help ??

Are you able to translate any of the other text in the plugin?

With the .po and .mo files it seems like I cant. I just want to change that text in the image so I think it is acceptable if I just change it with the php code.
But I dont know what to change without breaking the plugin.

I can’t recommend modifying the plugin core files, but can definitely recommend is using a translation plugin. I use Loco Translate, but there are several good alternatives and/or services available. The good thing about using a plugin or service is that they point out any errors or issues so they can be resolved.

I understand what you are saying but its not working, I always translate plugins so I really dont know why this is not working.

See this, I used loco translate as you advised.

The “Widget Box” text is still there ??

I finally managed to change it with the original php code, It seems like that text is not linked with the language files.

Im just a noob so I really dont know, thanks for your help and for this awesome plugin :).

    Thanks!

So from the screenshot it looks like the other strings in the plugin are in fact translatable, correct? (just want to make sure!)

    Thread Starter limitlessventas

    (@limitlessventas)

They appear as translatable but the translations dont work, at least with the box titles.

I cant talk about the other translatable parts, I didnt tried with the other parts.

Can you please try with the other parts? It would be awesome if you could let me know, because I want to fix any issues.. (you know to make it a better plugin)

    Okay

I translated some random stuff and saved. It didnt work, I cant see any of my changes taking place.
Maybe its my wordpress, but I dont think so because in other plugins the translations work without a problem.

Alright thanks, I will look into it. Perhaps there is some detail that needs adjusting.

Just to follow up with this thread, language/translation support in the latest version (DWS 1.2) has been greatly improved. Should be good to go for translating the plugin. Thanks!
