Landline theme fatal error

are you trying to activate a child theme?

with a copy of functions.php from the ‘landline’ theme?

Yes I have a child theme and I’ve deleted the functions.php so now it seems okay. The problem is that I need some widgets on the home page. Do you know if I can achieve this?

do not copy the full content of functions.php from the parent theme into the child theme.

create a new empty functions.php in the child theme;
only add those functionality into functions.php which you need, for instance to create a new widget area etc….

Hi again, I’m having real trouble adding a sidebar to the landline theme.

a) Do you know if it’s possible?
b) Is there a simple, step by step guide you’d recommend?

I only need this sidebar on the home page.
