Landing page with language choice

    I shall install 3 wp blogs in different languages but in the same domain.
    Each blog will live its own life so I have placed the blog in their own directories in the public html directory on your server (Apache version 1.3.41, MySQL version 4.1.22-standard PHP version 4.4.9) ie.:

    / uk
    / da
    / a

    I want a so-called Landing Page where visitor can pich there language, for example, a flag icon that then redirect to the selected language version of the blog.

    It shall also placed a cookie so that the chosen language is kept for the next visits to the blog.

    I understand that this is probably not a wp functionality but the problem has shurely been solved before and hopefully there may be some good tips to give me.
