I had a someone help me setup my OceanWP theme using Elementor. I’m no longer in contact with this person so cant reach out to him for help.

The site was working fine; You would click on a main menu item on the landing page (the themes top menu) and it would scroll down the page to the relevant section. Suddenly the site is malfunctioning. When you click on a menu item it links to a separate empty page with just a title on it, instead fo scrolling down the homepage.

I did some research and see this scrolling behaviour is usually setup using Elementor’s Anchor widget. But I looked in the Elementor editor and i cant see any Anchor widgets inserted in order to check if they are linking correctly. Is there any other way the Dev who was helping me with this, might have setup this scrolling behaviour? I’m pretty sure he just used Elementor and no code to build to the site but I might be wrong.

What steps do i take to check and repair the issue?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • The other way is to give each section a unique CSS ID in the Advanced tab of the section (or column or widget) being linked to, and then just using #thatid (replacing “thatid” with whatever ID was assigned to the section) as the link. Make sure the links don’t have the https://yourdomain.com portion in there. Just #someid without the domain name.
